What is an Ambassador Endorsement?
An Ambassador Endorsement is a short verification that the candidate is a real person, and is a good fit for their community. Different communities may have different needs, and so while a candidate may be too competitive for a particular community, they might be a perfect fit elsewhere.
Ambassador Endorsements can be as short as a sentence or two, but can be longer and more robust, giving guidance to the candidate to help them grow.
Level One Endorsements also apply as Ambassador Endorsements. Ambassador Endorsements do not apply as Level One Endorsements.
Ambassador Endorsements can be written by any verified Tournament Organizer or L1 or higher judge. When higher levels of Ambassador are available, those certifications will also be able to endorse new Ambassadors.
What Are Community Ideals?
Your community ideals are a short pitch of what you want to do as an ambassador and what’s important to you. Remember that the role of an Ambassador is very broad, and can include running demos, running deck construction seminars, helping host events, or creating content.
While writing your community ideals, it’s recommended to consider the following questions, and include some of your answers or thoughts in your written ideals.
- Do you want to grow an existing community (like a store) or create one from the ground up?
- How large do you expect your community to be?
- Does the community primarily connect online, in-person, or is it hybrid?
- What constitutes success in your eyes?
- What demographics will make up your community?
- Are there other communities you want to collaborate or cooperate with?
- What excites you about developing a community?
