This page is a resource hub for Tournament Organizers. If you have any questions, please ask in the Judge Discord or send an email to Questions@CascadeGames.com.
Please keep in mind that the Tournament Organizer role on Nexus is entirely independent of a store or organization’s relationship with Asmodee and Fantasy Flight Games. Having the Tournament Organizer status with Cascade Games will make it easier for you to find and hire judges; however, it does not directly impact access to official events.
Tournament Organizers on Nexus
If you own a game store or are a major Tournament Organizer, you’ll want to make sure to link your personal account to your store profile.
Having your account linked will grant you the Tournament Organizer role, which comes with several useful permissions:
- You will be able to see information that users have set to be visible only to Tournament Organizers - this is usually location and contact information
- You will be able to create events that will send notifications to judges in your area
- You will be able to write Endorsements for Level One judge candidates, allowing them to take the certification exam and improve your local events
We have nearly four thousand locations in our database of Game Stores across the globe. Use the search to find your store, and then click the blue “Link” button on the store profile page.
If you are unable to find your store’s profile, fill out this form. If you are unable to connect your account, we likely have the incorrect email on file. Please email Jonah@CascadeGames.com to rectify the error. Please note that linking to stores is intended for individuals who work for the store by managing the event schedule and hiring judges. Individuals who only work events as a judge are not eligible for this account linking.
Competitive Tier Status
If your store profile exists, but you do not have Competitive Tier status, and are eligible for Competitive Tier status, there will be a blue “Apply for Competitive Tier Status”.
Stores that have run or are scheduled to run a Planetary Qualifier or have run at least six Competitive-tier equivalent tournaments for any TCG are eligible for Competitive Tier Status. Competitive-tier equivalent tournaments must have deck lists, deck checks, and a cut to single elimination. These do not have to be official publisher-sponsored events, but can be store-run Competitive-tier tournaments.
Competitive-tier Status will allow you to write Endorsements for Level Two judge candidates, allowing them to take a certification exam and improve competitive-tier events.
